Katja’s first major professional milestone came in 1990 in Opatija, at the Grand Hotel Adriatic, where she organized the large fashion festival Fashion News. The event became an important meeting point for designers, models, photographers, and fashion professionals, leaving a strong mark on the fashion scene of the time.
During this period, she also launched Cosmetic News and Hairstyle News, with several magazine covers featuring her own photography.
Portraiture occupies a central place in Katja’s work. She captures faces that speak, movements that reveal personality, and expressions that carry atmosphere. This focus on human emotion and expression not only shaped her fashion photography but also became the foundation of her work in video.

She photographed for Elle, worked with the Elite modeling agency, and led her own agency, Studio Art Design, where she developed young models and created their set cards and composites. A particularly important part of her career was her intensive collaboration with modeling agencies in Milan, where her visual sensibility found its natural place on the international scene.
