When Ana came to my studio in 2010 and asked me to be her mentor (read more), I could never have imagined that we would grow into such close friends who understand each other so deeply. I remember her counting the hours she needed for her internship and asking me, “Katja, how am I going to justify and complete all of these hours?” She worried for nothing — within just 25 days, we had completed a full three months of practice. She impressed me in the very first days. Fast, capable, talented, full of technical knowledge and a beautiful desire to learn. We spent countless hours together, enjoying our time and working hard. Her work ethic (and her way of life) was so similar to mine that we quickly became very close — something that has never changed.

Today, she is a young woman, a mother, and a wonderful human being I am deeply proud of. Yes, young people can learn so much if they want to — and give so much in return — when they have the right support. Nothing brings me more joy than sharing my own experiences and knowledge.
Ana Sever is now my assistant (and she always will be), and she has stepped into the world of entrepreneurship by opening her own multimedia business — NORTH Kompas. We have worked together on many projects, and she has diligently contributed to countless others, gathering and sharing knowledge along the way. She has taken on teaching children how to create their first animated film. She has also created several beautiful experimental films that have received awards, and held multiple photography exhibitions across Croatia.
