Artists Katja Restović and Eugen Borkovsky have been closely collaborating for many years, developing together numerous visual, multimedia and international projects. Their partnership began in the early 2010s and has since naturally evolved into a steady and inspiring creative connection.
Eugen Borkovsky works as both an artist and a curator, and for many years has been leading the program of the Fonticus Gallery in Grožnjan, where he has shaped a distinctive concept of the contemporary art scene. His curatorial work, refined sense for presentation and recognizable visual sensibility often accompany Katja’s projects, especially those combining photography, video and spatial installations.
Through their joint and individual projects, Restovic has participated in numerous selected and thematic exhibitions in Croatia and abroad, including projects in Thailand, Germany, Slovenia, Serbia and Italy. Her video work “Desire” was presented in Venice and London, while her photographic cycles and 3D installations were exhibited in Rotterdam, giving her work a strong international resonance. In 2025, Katja became a member of HDLU Istria, further confirming her professional status within the field.
Despite their parallel careers, Katja and Eugen remain close friends and collaborators. Their long-standing exchange of ideas, experiences and mutual trust continues to generate new projects that naturally grow from everything they have built together.
