Goran Rukavina is a distinguished Croatian jazz double bassist and bass guitarist, and the author of the music and lyrics for Zaplešimo u raj. Educated in Graz, he has collaborated with numerous respected musicians within the jazz and crossover scene. His precision, musical sensitivity, and strong rhythmic foundation make him a recognizable presence on the regional music stage.
“I met Goran at a jazz concert in the lapidarium and we immediately connected through energy. He is an exceptionally warm and gifted jazz musician,” says Katja Restović.

Let’s Dance into Paradise
The music video Zaplešimo u raj (Goran Rukavina feat. Sabrina Habiri) was filmed at the Italian Community Theatre in Poreč. The music and lyrics were written by Goran Rukavina, while production, recording, and mixing were handled by Saša Wozdecky for Studio Descarga.
The video was directed, written, and edited by Katja Restović. Cinematography and postproduction were done by Josip Ružić (“Rose Art”), with Marin Brkljača as camera assistant. Set organization, photography, and making-of documentation were led by Ana Sever, and extras were coordinated by Daniela Djula.
Make-up was done by Cristina Gaitan Carvajal, hair styling by Sanela Katalinić, and catering by Suada Prasljević. Dancers were Latica Čačković and Karlo Fluksi. Actors from Mrki Theatre participated in the project, alongside musicians Ivan Pešut (guitar), Kristian Terzić (piano), and Andy Cech (drums).
“I envisioned it as cinematic from the beginning. Every frame was staged. We developed eight parallel scenes that had to merge into a unified whole. Editing it was a true pleasure,” says Restović.
The video was produced by K. Rest Production in 2011 and continues to retain its artistic authenticity.
Love
The second video, Ljubav, was filmed at Hotel Palazzo in Poreč with the dance group Mot 80. The atmosphere was vibrant and almost concert-like.
“Goran has a remarkable presence on stage and is highly photogenic. He carries rhythm as well as emotion. He works with precision, always with a sense of humor, and everything somehow naturally falls into place. These are projects that were born out of true musical enjoyment,” Restović concludes.
