<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nSince 1997, Badurina has been a permanent member of the Drama Ensemble of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, earning the title of Drama Principal in 2008. From 1999 to 2002, he worked as an assistant at the Acting Department of the Academy of Dramatic Art in the class of professor Neva Ro\u0161i\u0107. Throughout his career, he has performed dozens of roles in Croatian and international theatres, as well as in film and television, establishing himself as an actor of remarkable range and presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Badurina is also active in multimedia and visual arts. His project \u201cdolce vita\/showreel\/diary of an actor,\u201d presented at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival in 2007, combines photography, video, and performance. In 2009, he returned to Dubrovnik with an exhibition of photographic triptychs and videos exploring the relationship between actors, the city, and the theatre community. His artistic work often focuses on the rehearsal room as a space where creative processes emerge and vanish in a single moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is the recipient of several awards, including two awards for Best Actress\u2014 the Mila Dimitrijevi\u0107 Award and the Croatian Theatre Award for his portrayal of Laura in Marin Dr\u017ei\u0107\u2019s Dundo Maroje\u2014a testament to his exceptional transformative ability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2025, Livio Badurina was awarded the title of National Drama Champion, acknowledging his outstanding artistic achievements and long-standing contribution to Croatian theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the trailer for the novel The Gates of Redemption, Badurina portrays the protagonist Martin Vellovich, an 18th-century priest from the town of Tar. Vellovich is depicted as a visionary and healer who assists the local community with medicinal remedies and talismans. While respected and loved by many, others fear him, and his hidden secrets attract the attention of the Venetian Inquisition. A web of intrigue, fire, and betrayal will determine whether his truth disappears with him or reshapes the fate of many.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
